Volunteer

We have many opportunities for volunteers. If you're interested or talented in a specific area, we most likely can use you.

When you volunteer with us, we ask that you get involved in all aspects of our programs. If you are volunteering at the orphanage, this means that you will be involved in the hands-on teaching and care-giving, as well as the administration and general management of the organization. In this way, we aim to give you a better understanding about issues concerning development, education and non-profit organizations.

We have a great need for volunteers at our organization, and can arrange a wonderful trip for you to serve on! The longer the better! If you are interested in volunteering please fill out the appropriate application below and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Upon arrival the director or a representative of the director of the center will pick you up at the airport/ bus station when you arrive, however all the costs of transportation to and from the center is your responsibility.

Your provided meals will be local food as the children at the center, if this food is not suitable for you, it is your own responsibility to buy and or cook food that is to your liking.

Our children range from 4 years and above, they range from Nursery to grade seven and they go to different schools, we are also looking for a volunteer to teach English skills during this hour, in addition to playing with and helping look after the kids, help children make necklaces, bungles and ear rings as these are sold to help raise money to cater for their medication, meals, clothing, etc.

The children and the orphanage will greatly appreciate anything you wish to bring, we need items such as electronics, donated cell phones, old cameras, radios, CD players, Television sets, laptops or computers, etc, also any games and toys will be wonderful, used or new clothing is so enjoyed by the children.

The Ugandan currency is in shillings, at the time of writing 1US Dollar is 1950 shillings, you can change money either at the banks or money changers in Kampala our capital city.
