The Necklace ProjectThe children have been trained on making necklaces, the bright beautiful coloured necklace is made out of smooth calendar paper, the paper is measured and cut, rolled and vanished, small beads then are inserted to make the work more beautiful.
The money raised from the sale of necklaces is used to purchase food items for the kids and medication for the children. We have a crafts store where several handcrafted items are found. We also have earrings, bungles, guerillas and key holders made out of clay. The clay is acquired from the nearby forest. It's molded, dried, heated in fire till the product turns brown, and then vanished and displayed, ready for sale.
In future the children will be trained to make shoes from locally available materials, design and make clothes, etc. |
